Have Aliens visited earth???

ok, well i have a project on aliens due in a couple of days and i need a survey in it. so im wondering what you guys think, Have aliens visited earth? and have people been abducted by aliens? thanks to everyone who answers.

I'd like to believe Aliens have visited, yeah...there's a lot we can't explain, present day & years gone by. It'd be nice if one day we found out that certain things were attributed to outside intelligent life helping us out...or conducting our road to doom ;D.

As for actual abduction? I'm disinclined to believe such things, really. Why? "Oh so you disappeared for two years, have paid no tax & now are getting paid vast sums of money for media interviews? Good going!" It's all too...scammy, imo.

But yeah, other intelligent life MUST exist & I'd like to believe they're poking us, all the lights in the sky & whatnot. It's a long shot & while I don't necessarily 100% believe in Aliens...I wouldn't be massively surprised if they had visited us.

Im gonna have to vote a yes for exist, but a no for abduction. Apart from the reasons which laine presented, it is just so probable that other life, possibly unintelligent, has developed on other planets. Scientists are always checking for water, but just because all life on earth requires water, it doesnt mean that the same applies to other planets, or solar systems

Do they exist? sure I won't rule that out.

Have they visited earth? I'm going to have to go with a No there. Do they target small town farmers for experiments... no.

"They" certainly exist, whatever "they" may be...it's scientifically accepted that life MUST exist off our own planet.

The question of if they've visited is a bit more awkward but I'd like to believe so, as I said. There's a lot of things we, as a species just cannot understand all throughout history. It's nice to attribute it to something such as this :3.

Us existing was a less than billion to one chance. It will be the same for other aliens... However, if you multiply this across the potentially infinite amount of planets, it is practically certain that they do exist

My Opinion:

Our galaxy has billions of stars.... I don't think anyone can say that there is no other life in our galaxy, there has to be some sort of life even if its just simple 1 celled creatures. Scientists even believe that there is other life in our own solar system! This is because one of the moons (I forget which one) on Jupitor has an icy surface but studies have showed that there is water and under the ice surface, the water gets warm enough to support life. I don't think it would have complex life but it might have simple 1 celled creatures.

Also, some time ago, scientist discovered a large planet in a solar system near ours that had the same make-up as earth and it has a high chance of having life on it, maybe even complex life!

I think that it is impossible for us to be the ONLY ones in our galaxy, and even if we are, there are also billions of galaxys. I think that we will find aliens instead of them finding us...

Yes for first, no for second. In history there have been many buildings that seem impossible for primitive humans to achieve. Take the Stonehenge for example. How could humans lift an object that heavy? Animals? I doubt it. An army of people? I doubt it. An aliens device of some sort? IMHO, most likely.

Have aliens been to earth and abducted people: No, I say no to that! If they exist most aliens probably are unintelligent lifefroms. (No I don't mean that they're dumb. XD) Do they exist: I say yes to that. In a gallaxy with billions of planets there's gotta be at least ten planets with life on them. No they're not gonna be little green humanoids with super techology. They probably look more like this:

I think its VERY Possible that aliens exist, how could we be the ONLY Planet that supports life!?
But I dont think aliens have abducted us, the only way they actually want to is to experiment on us, you know, to see how we live(Litterally)
But I have to disaggree with DarkGricer, I think Aliens would look like THIS!
