Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has had the following problem.

1) Played beta...no problem.
2) Purchased a retail copy this past week. Game patched upon opening, logged in, entered registration key and the game simply reverts to another (albeit different that the primary login screen). Enter a email and password again and it takes my right back to the registration key screen again. Infinite loop.
3) I uninstalled the game and have now tried reinstalling the game from the retail disk and via completely redownloading the client. No joy.

The response from customer support was a canned laundry list of clean-up remedies, but none have worked. I reset my password just to make sure there were no issues with my login credentials. No progress.

Again, I am running a brand new Windows 7 machine and had no issues logging in or running the game in beta.

Very...very...irritated. I have a feeling there may be a problem with my registration key, but I would be shocked as to how that could happen. I purchased the game from Fry's Electronics.

Any ideas or similar problems out there?

Login to http://darkspore.com and register your key at http://darkspore.com/product

Some addons/extensions interfere with it though so if you have trouble doing that try using a fresh vanilla install of FireFox or Chrome.

Moved to key issues.

Key does not work on the website registration either. I have installed fresh multiple times both through disk and full download from the recommended links.

This is bizarre and frustrating.

I'm haveng the exact same problem and its really pissing me off. I was really looking foreward to this game and now I can't play it because for whatever reason it can't remeber that i loged in 5 seconds ago :-w

Yeah I am having the same problem I love the general response of contact customer service................................................................ 40 years later they will get back to you why can't you guys just make a descent product out of the box instead of this goat rope. I mean not only does the cd key not work but when you first install the game and try to play it, it says that the game is not available and to try during a approved play time or whatever granted leaving it sit there for 5 min it will finally realize that the company shipped it out too soon and sucks at quality control way to go YOU!!!

Let's see four interfaces and once escalation of customer service tiers and I'm still nowhere. First I was given a new key...exactly the same result on the both the game registration entry and through website.

Upgrade to another tier of customer support. Today I was told they had made changes to the Darkspore online access entitlement for my account. Exactly the same result.

This is so fundamentally stupid...I have many problems with software over the years, but nothing as INANE as a game not recognizing the registration key.

$50 rotting on my desk. Brilliant.

same issue... bought the game on STEAM, tried to register from inside the game itself and from darkspore.com (using the key from steam => right click => view game cd key) and it says my key was already taken. This is just outrageous.
