Need help with steam key

I contacted ea support 6 hours ago and, although they assured me my account would start working within a few hours, it still does not. I sign into my account in the game, it asks for the retail key, I enter it, and it just asks me for my key again with no error message. Help?

Login at http://darkspore.com/product . If that doesn't work, try the following.

If you're having trouble entering your code, make sure to have it all lower case and to include the dashes. If it doesn't have dashes, add them between the fourth and fifth character, the eighth and ninth, twelfth and thirteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth characters. Example: a12b-3c4d-5e6g-7h8i-9j0k (can be any set of alphanumeric and this is just an example!)

So. When I go to darkspore.com/product, it says I need to be logged in. So I log in, then it asks for my key. I enter the key. It tells me I need to be logged in. I log in...enter key...I need to be logged in. Tried in 2 different browsers at default security settings.

I am starting to think it is a problem with my ea account.

i am about to get into a chat with a ea rep and see if he can give me anymore info. i think it's the validation server with ea that is not yet linked with the keys steam is giving out and it's taking them time.

I did that this morning and they said they would get it working in a few hours. That was 7 hours ago.

There's been a few reports of the product page not working because of addons/extensions/etc. Try using a vanilla install of IE or FireFox.

EA rep finally helped me after the 2nd try. Fixed things immediately and Darkspore now works for me. Still cannot log into the main darkspore page tho -- using vanilla IE9 and chrome with one pop-up blocker extension in which I marked darkspore.com as safe. *shrug*

So yeah. Exactly the same problem here -- I put in my key, and it takes me back to putting in my key. Amazing.

I am still having this very same issue. Even while trying to register the product via Darkspore website it then tells me I must be logged in, then asks for the key. Rinse and repeat until frustration. Please email me with any fixes you guys come out with, It would be a shame to get such bad word out about such a great game.

I too am getting the log on screen issue? Should I send an email to customer support? Everytime I try to log in and submit my retail key, it takes me back to the log in screen. Is something currently wrong with the EA account servers?
