CD-Key Not Working.

Okay, i know it is a valid CDKEY because the EADM accepted it. I purchased my game VIA steam. I installed and ran the game TWICE, once from steam another from EADM. But inside the game i enter the code and it...does nothing. I put the key in, the window goes blank, and then it asks for the key again. This has happened both times i have installed this game and i KNOW it is valid.

What is going on here?

I live in the US. I would like to know where I can register the game without going into the game. Because it isn't accepting the code when in game.

Can...anyone explain to me what this issue could be? Someone on steam said it was a issue with the activation servers. If so when will it be fixed? I'd hate to have spent 50$ on this game only for me to not be able to play it.
