I to got the same problem. I to bought the game on-line but bought Battlefield there too and that works ( no scams anyways). Contacted support few days ago but still no reply maybe it goes faster at forums. Game registered at EA and origin.

In this case, the forums are the wrong place to be.

With almost all key issues, contacting EA Customer Support is the only way forward.

Applying for a Live Chat with them is the best course of action.

i stopped playing the game for a while and when i came back it said i needed a retail key again then i enter it and it says it is already in use

@biohazardH1N1: If you're being truthful that you've previously played the retail (full) game & NOT the beta, then you are entering the wrong details, which is why you're being prompted for a key.

I seem to be having the similar problem. I first played darkspore when it arrived in the stores and then left it until now when i decided I would like to play it some more. However Upon entering my login details I receive the message saying that I needed to enter my retail key. I found it in my box and entered it only to find it said it was already in use. Now as for some reason It appears I have two e-mails linking to a single account which I find awfully strange I checked both to see if it was the other one which was active. But no, neither of them are. I also followed to Support as suggested but there is nothing on there about how to solve this and no direct contact, from what I can see, to a living human being. I honestly expected more from EA's support services....

But I have tried entering my key in www.darkspore.com/product
I also seemed to be able to redeem on origin but when I play it from Origin it stills prompts me to add my key
I also know I have the game, in real life as I am sitting with the box, CD and Code next to me now.
And I bought it from a legal retailer, AKA GAME

Any other help would be greatly appreciated... Or if nothing I suppose I will need to buy a new key.....

I have the same problem.
I bought the game today, after entering the key, I got the message that the key is already in use :( .
How can I fix this??? :pray:

The fact that people endlessly refuse to read a little before posting is becoming incredibly disheartening.

Enter your CD-Key on EA Origin. The chance of this working is 100% under normal circumstances.
Assuming it doesn't work?
Did you buy a physical copy & was it factory sealed? Contact EA Customer Support.
Did you buy a physical copy & it wasn't factory sealed? Return to retailer.
Did you buy a digital copy? Contact whoever you purchased it from.

Hello!
The problem ... Origin of the key is activated. But in the game you want to enter it.
Communication - the key is already in use ...
EA support did not help ... Please help, last month bought the game, still can not get to play

If you have activated your key in EA Origin personally but Darkspore is telling you to enter a key, then you ARE using the wrong log-in details.

Wow let's hope yes...?

EA seems to have been changing key code entries - maybe? I see no reason why Darkspore wouldnt ask for a key even if it has been registered with EA; what if the emails are different and emails between EA and here (our emails)...well hopefully we registered with the same emails - maybe some of us didnt.

Fact is, EA now has what is called a Master Account where registered games are added; it may help to ensure that the emails registered with Darkspore agrees with the EA Master ID Account. I wouldnt mind seeing an entry for a key code in game - that simply matches the key code in the Master account - but again, the emails probly 'HAVE' to match.

All my spore games use the same email. Dont forget to have the correct time and date set on your computer too.
