scheduled play test

I have installed and registered darkspore using ea download manager. Yet, when I click on the darkspore icon to start the game, it reads "DARKSPORE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR PLAY. PLEASE TRY AGAIN DURING A SCHEDULED PLAY TEST." Did I do something wrong? Can someone help. I don't know if the server is down or busy or what...but this is beyond frustrating and a serious waste of time and money. Someone please advise. What is a "scheduled play test?"

Just let it sit at that screen and within a few minutes it will start patching.

i have let it sit for at least an hour and it still hasn't started patching.

I am having the same problem except I got it from bestbuy. and i have let it sit for about an hour now and got nothing.
