Another one: Ironhide, the Earthquaker, a Bio Sentinel

Ironhide, the Earthquaker
Type:Sentinel
Genesis:Bio

Appearance: Large six legged rhino-like creature with nodules covering it's backs.
Weapon: Adamantium Horn

ABILITIES-----------------------------
Basic Attack:
Hornstrike
A vicious melee attack which knocks enemies and stun then for 3 seconds. The Enemy can only be knocked up and stunned each 10 seconds.

1st Ability:
Trample
Select a target and Ironhide will rush to the chosen enemy; all enemies in Ironhide's path will be knocked sideways and stunned for 2 seconds, and the chosen enmy will receive critical damage.

Variant Ability
Alpha - Roar of Derision
Beta- Enrage
Gamma- Virulent Vines
Delta- Healing Sprite

Squad Ability
Groundslam
Ironhide leaps in the air and crashes on the floor, stunning enemies around and dealing great damage to enemies he crushed.

Passive Ability
Wild Frenzy
Ironhide's survival instinct makes his attack damage increase when receiving damage.

I suggest filling out a form, sporething. The heroes are good (Ok, awesome), but without it arranged in a sheet, it means little.

Darkgricer, I recommend putting effort into your hero ideas.

Dirge, the Cadaverous Peon
Type: Ravager
Genesis: Necro

Bio: When the experiments of Ingto weakened Nocturna's barrier between the worlds of life and death, it was inevitable that some would cross over. Dirge was an old, nameless entity from the realm of the dead. When it assumed corporeal form and a place among the living, Dirge spurned company and fled. Passing from region to region for a long time, Dirge was unaware when the Darkspore arrived. When the evil virus began to dominate Nocturna, Dirge ran in fear for its new life. It saved itself, in a fashion. Dirge could create a mirror image of itself, and this duplicate it left to die in its place. After a great deal of wandering, Dirge came upon an island in a vast, dark ocean. There it waited.

Much to Dirge's surprise, it received a visitor. Hurtling down from the heavens came an object, whose surface was so shiny that the reflected light hurt Dirge's eyes. Pained by the harsh illumination, Dirge sought a way inside the spaceship. There was indeed an door, and Dirge forced its way inside. Within the vessel, a Crogenator entombed in cryo-sleep. At the revenant's presence, the Helix AI onboard the ship activated the Crogenator as a defense. Escre awoke, and its joy was short lived. Astonished, Escre and Dirge listened to Helix explain the galaxy's plight. Their briefing was interrupted by a pounding on the ship's door. The Darkspore had arrived.

With no time to spare, Crogenator and specter fought side-by-side. Dirge wielded a crustal-studded slab of wood, while Escre favored a staff-mounted sickle. None of their attackers survived their desperate assault.

Dirge quietly related its tales and spoke of the legends surrounding Crogenators. Escre, whose memory had been damaged by the cryo-sleep, was fascinated by the account of the Nocturni legion. Dirge personally knew Wraith, and spoke of the Living Weapon as a hero. Escre then took Dirge and transfixed him with the Necro genesis. Both took a title -Escre didn't know any better- and the Cadaverous Peon became the Life Warden's faithful follower.
Characteristics-----------------------------------------

Appearance: Dirge is bipedal and gaunt. His back is arched heavily, with his head ending below his shoulderline, extending away from his chest on a bony neck. Dirge's head is a four-eyed skull with no jaw and some spikes -asymmetrically arranged- on the top. The upper teeth are long and sharp, the four eye sockets are filled by unblinking, glossy white eyes, which contrast the aged gray of his head and bones. His body is skeletal in nature, with spines running down his arched back and external ribs. His lower torso, his forearms, and low legs have sleek black tissue on them. Dirge's hands and feet are eerie, as if their bones were elongated and then applied a coating of flesh on some places. Across Dirge's body lie unusual, glowing white markings. Beta variant has fewer exposed bones and features a skin-covered body, his fingers and toes are also more correctly proportioned. Some blade-like growths extend from Beta's shoulders and knees. Beta is also a steely gray in color, with yellow eyes and markings. One of its left eyes is missing, and the remaining is larger. Gamma is taller with burgundy skin and more complicated bone structures, and has two curling ram's horns on is head. Its eyes and markings are a deep red. Delta variant is totally skeletal, has no markings, a single, indigo eye, and some metallic armor here and there.
Weapon: Occult Macana- a wooden weapon studded with rectangular slivers of deathly white crystal. Inscribed on the center of the blade in an ascending format are mysterious purple symbols. The naming system works like this: Purified Tainos's Occult Macana of Aptitude

ABILITIES-----------------------------
Basic Ability: Macabre Swipe- Dirge attacks viciously with its Macana for 7-10 dmg. The dmg that is given alternates totally randomly between energy and physical, which lessens enemy advantage if they're immune to one of them. Whenever energy damage is dealt, the weapon leaves a purple trail as it is swung, rather than the usual white one for physical.

Unique Ability: Contagious Terror- Dirge terrifies the target. It lasts for 3 seconds and deals 15 damage over that time. If another enemy touches the terrified foe, they will receive the effect, though it only lasts 2 seconds for them and deals no dmg. A target can only be terrified once by each epidemic.

Variant Abilities:
Alpha: Soul Link
Beta: Affliction Bolt
Gamma: Phantom Charge
Delta: Life-Force Siphon

Squad Ability: One Other- Dirge creates an exact duplicate of himself. The duplicate loses and positive buffs it had in the process, can only use its basic attack, and vanishes after 25 seconds. However, it has the same stats that Dirge does, with one exception. Unique item-granted bonuses, except for Movement Speed, are lost in the process. +Pet dmg and health has no effect whatsoever. Very long recharge time, large power consumption. If used as a squad ability (Say, by Arborus) then the duplicate generated will be Arborus.

Passive Ability: Vortex of Life- Dirge drains 3 health per second from all enemies within 5 feet of it.
Overdrive: Dirge drains 8 health per second, and 5 of this is ferried back to him as health.

Friends and Foes------------------------
An excellent squadmate for Dirge is Skar. Not only do the Shadow Cloak's affects help Dirge, but an interesting transaction could be made. If Shadow Cloak then and One Other are used in succession, the real Dirge -or Skar, I suppose- would disappear and leave an exact copy in its place. An excellent distraction, it would leave a wide opportunity for Skar's passive to come into play.

For Dirge's team-mates, few would fit the bill better than Savage. The squad abilities of both could easily surround or just plain gang-up on a single foe, and Savage could both tank for and draw attention away from Dirge -using Roar of Derision-

Blitz and Lumin would be good enemies of Dirge's. The speedy Ravager could avoid Dirge's drain when necessary by teleporting away. Riding the Lightening would also be a useful asset to return to Dirge. Blitz could also navigate away from team-mates if victimized by Contagious Terror.

Lumin (Alpha)'s myriad of abilities that effect more than one person at a time would be perfect to use against Dirge and its clone, because they'd both be hit by Lightening Storm and Webbed Lightening, and proximity would only hurt the pair more. Plus, the real one would become visible if Dirge was paired up with Skar, therefore nullifying the sneaky advantage.

I see a slight imbalance in there. Dirge can terrify an opponent. He can simply follow them around and regenerate much of his health back, exchanging it for Power. It can also be quite imbalanced in PvP as they can simply be locked in terrify and Dirge can regenerate much of his health back to what he needs to survive.

I can give the terrify a long recharge time as well. By the way, the basic Passive doesn't give health to Dirge, it just takes it from the enemy and is lost in the transaction. Only when Overdrive is on does Dirge recieve health back.

Er... how does it exchange for power?

I am so ridiculously mad I can't even explain it... :-l :-l :-l

I just spent a solid 2 hours typing up my idea, and i accidentally clicked the wrong button, and now it is gone forever. It was my idea for Snodur the Frost Behemoth with a Genesis I came up with called subzero... I was ridiculously descriptive, and it came out beautifully. I'm so sad :(

Appearance: Will redo tomorrow since I'm still pretty mad...
Weapon: Ice Machete base, Katana = Dexterity, Syrian sword = Mind, Broadsword = Strength

ABILITIES-----------------------------
Frozen slash - (6-10 base) damage, slows by 8%. (Stacks 5x)
Frostbite - (30 - 45 base) damage, freezes unit, lasts 3 seconds, target death while frozen = AoE damage in 5 meters that equals 50% of target's health. Uses Free hand
Snow Cone - 35 degrees in front for 6 meters. Does (25 - 35 base) damage to units in cone. Comes out of Free hand
Ice Age - Freezes ground in 6 meter radius around Hero. Slows all enemy units by 40% and damages (15 - 20 base) dps.
Permafrost - Reduces damage from all attacks by 10%, but increases plasma damage by 10%. Enemy units attacking Snodur have movement and attack speed slowed by 2%. (Stacks 5x)

The problem with the darkspore parts mod is that the parts are not textured or colored in the spore editor during paint or test-drive.

Oh well, let's wait for an other mod then. I have seen video's of Davo with correctly painted stuph.
Hypercam has a framerate that requires you to stand still in order to make it look like if you are moving.

sort aroborus only with 2 hands, his head like a spider's only in the hood with magical characters, weapons, a magic stick and his feet do not like aroborus and similar to the roots. he kind of bio, storm, the main shock, he lets out a magic ball An ability to
he released a flock of birds they kill nachenayut Most of the enemies in 20 seconds, 2 ability, he creates a wall of trees,
3-ability he hits the ground and occasionally get out of the land of the roots and kill the enemy within 15 seconds

I haven't look at anything but the names of what you guys have posted so far, because I was afraid I would be tempted to use someone's idea. I don't like doing that so keeping myself fresh. I don't have it finished yet, but figured I would give you guys some info. for now. I know it is close to my user name, but there is good reason for that.

I have a lot written up for it, but I'm not very good with creating characters and want to try to improve on what I have before I post all the info(especially the bio). Will try to get it finished as soon as I can. Hope you guys will like it.

Anima, The Exposed Soul

Bio: The first of many experiments done by Ingto. Anima first realized his abilities when his hatred towards Ingto became too much for him to hold in. Energy seeping from his body started to infect those around him. It wasn't long before he realized what kind of control he really had. His attack on Ingto took place during an experiment where he tried to force Ingto to kill himself. Anima was knocked out cold before he could finish the job. Realizing what Anima could do, Ingto did not want to lose his best subject, but needed a way to control him. He punished Anima by genetically binding him; never to hear; never to see; never to speak. His eyes, mouth and ears were fused shut. Ingto knew that even without these senses Anima was very strong and so decided to bind his hands as well by fusing his arms across his chest. During the darkspore attack Anima was placed into a cryogenic pod to keep his experiment safe...


Pervade: Anima senses the fears and desires of his target. Affected enemy is frozen in fear for 2 seconds causing X damage over the next 4 seconds. Each enemy can only be feared once every 8 seconds. Affected ally's next two damaging attacks are increased by 50% also healing for X over the next 4 seconds. Each ally can only have there next two attacks increased by 50% once every 10 seconds. Damage and healing from this ability can only be stacked twice and resets to 4 seconds with each attack.

Soul Feed: Anima forces some of his energy into an ally temporarily increasing Strength(Sentinel), Dexterity(Ravager) or Mind(Tempest) by 50%.(Lasts 5 seconds)(10 second cooldown)

Possession: Anima focuses his energy on an enemy taking control of their mind and body causing it to attack other darkspore. Enemy becomes a permanent pet until it dies. Only 1 darkspore can be controlled at a time. This ability is disabled until the current pet dies.(No cooldown)

Energy Surge: Anima focuses his energy inward increasing all primary stats by 10% for 8 seconds. (12 second cooldown)

Lifeforce: Anima's enegry constantly seeps from his body increasing ally damage by 10% and decreasing enemy damage by 10%.

Overdrive: Lifeforce increased to 25%.



Stat Information: Critical Chance is always 0 and never increases with items. Health and Strength are very low. Mind, power and resist are very high. Dexterity and dodge resemble a ravager.



Appearance: Average sized, muscular humanoid Figure. His entire body is black and ravaged from the experiments. Small cracks can be seen throughout his body pulsating purple light where energy seeps through. Small lumps of scarred flesh are the only remnants left of where his eyes, mouth and ears were fused shut. His arms, folded across his chest with clinched fists at each shoulder, are fused to his chest so that he cannot move them. Pieces of chain and metal shackles can be seen partially fused to his body.

Weapon of Choice Carries no weapon. Weapon slot is replaced by an extra utility slot.

Type: Tempest
Genesis: Quantum

Appearance:
A Naga type appaearance, faint purple emanating glow from her eyes, with a black, traingular veil covering the portion of her nose and mouth.
Weapon: A lengthy, twisted teardrop shaped horn.

Abilities==
(Basic Attack) Shrieking tune: Galatra blows her horn fiercely. Dealing 3-9 damage to all enemies within 4m radius.

Indomitable Glory: Galatra plays with inspiring enthusiasm. Giving all allies within 10m radius haste, and 3% damage mitigation per hit received. (Mitigation stacks up to 3 times)
-=Cast time 1.5 seconds. Duration 15 seconds. Recast 25 seconds.=-

Debilitating karma: Galatra lowers the morale of her enemies. Causing their movement speed to be reduced by 35% as well as taking 50% extra damage from all attacks for 10 seconds. -=Cast time 1 second. Recast 20 seconds=-

Squad:

Pummel: Attack a single enemy twice in succession, dealing 10-19 damage for the first strike, and 25% extra damage for the last strike.
Passive

Rally: Just the presence of Galatra increase party morale, all allies within 12m radius have their attack increased by 8%.

Purpose of this character is to be a bit of a bard, a supporting hero rather than an offensive one.

In kinder times, Saix was the ruler of the Nocturni Legion. Although the civilization he controlled was known for its frightening brutality, Saix himself was known for being a fair and just ruler. He always presented his conquered foes with a choice: Join the Nocturni Legion, or burn.

Those that joined Saix shared in his power and wealth, and those that chose martyrdom quickly became an example for those who would oppose the Legion. Those who still opposed the Nocturni Legion were quickly cut down by Saix's growing armies, and a "lucky" few would even get to perish beneath Saix's famous psionic scream, capable of shattering minds and exploding skulls across the battlefield. The name "Saix" became synonymous with "terror" on Nocturna.

When the Darkspore attacked, Saix himself led the first counterattacks. His own soldiers turned against him, Saix grew increasingly enraged at what he thought was a rebellion. By the time he realized the true nature of the Nocturni Legion's enemy, it was too late: The Darkspore had gained the upper hand, and would control the outcome of the battle- and the fate of the Legion. Still, Saix and his remaining warriors fought on, and he engaged Nashira herself in open combat. Nearly felling the Destructor, Saix was taken by surprise by one of her "duplicates" and knocked out of the sky and into the abyss.

He was dead long before he hit the ground.

Severely demoralized by their leader's death, the Nocturni Legion dissolved and scattered, going into hiding around Nocturna. Saix's corpse continued to plummet into the darkness, when suddenly his remains fell into a gap in the membrane dividing the the world of the living and the world of the dead- one of many rifts created by Crogenitor Ingto before his death. Infused with the power of the dead, Saix was revived, in a state between life and death. Still falling, Saix plummeted into Ingto's old dwelling at the heart of Nocturna, where he acquired a new set of wings and honed his abilities to perfection.

Rocketing skyward out of his shadowy tomb, Saix shrieked with acute rage and brought savage retribution down upon the Darkspore who had destroyed all that he had worked to create in life. The Nocturni Legion was gone, and given his obvious death none would ever follow Saix again- If anything, he would be seen as a Darkspore puppet. He would never again rule Nocturna- But he could make damn sure that those who had robbed him of his life's acheivments would pay the price.

Soon, the Darkspore would learn to know Saix by a new name: The Deafening Harbinger.



Appearance: A deathly-thin, skeletal dragon-like being with a blade-like mouth that can open horrifically wide, thanks to the double-hinged jaw. His wings are mechanical in nature, because his weapons are actually the wings themselves. He has a long, segmented tail (like a millipede) that ends with an arrow-shaped spike. He is bone-white in color and webs of blood-red energy periodically glow throughout the cracks in his bony hide. His arms are long, thin and tipped with three long, razor-sharp claws, like his legs. His token particle effects throughout his entire body, in addition to the red pulses of energy, are faint wisps of black smoke that occasionally roll off of his body. Weapon: Hyperwings: His cyborg-like wings. This is done primarily to avoid any creative edits to the wings by "noobs" to make them into clippy, unrecognizable lumps. The wing membranes are transparent and pulse with energy. Despite being made of energy, they have a tattered appearance.


ABILITIES----------------------------- numbers suspect to change

[Basic attack] Blade Waves (No energy, .6 second cooldown) (5-8 damage): Saix fires crescent-shaped waves of energy from his claws as if throwing them. Each blade has a range of 15m. The waves grow slightly larger as they travel, and all enemies the waves pass through can take damage. Upon hitting an enemy, each strike gains 2% more damage and stacks up to 10 times for that enemy alone. The blades move relatively slow, however.

[Unique Ability] Skullbuster (25 energy, 10 sec cooldown) (25-38 damage): Saix screams and unleashes a terrific beam of black, searing energy with a range of 30m. Foes hit directly by this attack take full damage. Foes within 3m are sucked into the beam and take half damage. Foes within 5m not hit by this attack are terrified for 4 seconds.

[Variant Abilities]

Alpha: Life Siphon

Beta: Affliction Bolt

Gamma: Phantom Charge

Delta: Soul Link

[squad ability] Power Scream (15 energy, 6 sec cooldown) (5-12 damage): Lets loose a psionic roar that creates a wave of terrifying energy in a radius of 8m. Foes hit by this attack are launched into the air and terrified for 2 seconds.

[passive ability] Duelist: When engaging a single foe, Saix takes 18% less melee damage and 20% less damage from criticals. With every additional combatant, the resistance is reduced by 6% and 10%, respectively. Overdrive: Resistance remains constant regardless of the amount of enemies attacking Saix. (This passive ability is definitely suspect to change, smack me on the nose if it's too much. It IS meant to compensate for Saix's low health, though.)


Overview: His abilities speak for themselves. Basically, this guy is more irritating than anything. Though definitely on the frail side, his abilities allow him to put serious pressure on his opponents. He is prevented from being OP by being fragile, and his Power is JUST high enough to allow you to make full use of his abilities, but too low to constantly heal yourself. You can heal with Reconstruct, sure, but have fun running out of power and becoming a sitting duck.

Notes: Curious as to what he sounds like? Well, try looking up "Marx Soul's death scream" and magnify that by 1,000 on the unsettling scale.

Any suggestions? Quite frankly, I think this guy is awesome.
