How about updating the release date in the FAQ to the current date?
26th of April in the US and 28th in EU I believe. I don't know for any other regions.

I've edited the OP to get rid of out-dated data, like the old beta forums, the beta keys, and the private betas. Also, added the "Will Darkspore be pay-to-play" question.

hi guys. just a question. sorry for the out topic. how can i transfer darkspore game into other PC through flash drive? i mean, can i just copy the folder and put it on another PC? will it run? because there are some games that can't run if copy-paste on computers. if yes, should i also copy the folders in application data and my documents?

I am not sure if transferring the game by flash drive would work or not. However you can download the game on any computer and you will just have to log in.

I gave this a good testing earlier and alas you can not transfer it. It needs a full install to register the game with Windows and such.

Will the actual game of Darkspore only be online? Or will it be OFF and Online like the original spore game??

Since all in-game data is stored on servers, you need Internet access to play.

Background: Republic of South Africa is a bastion of thievery when it comes to internet costs. Only those pay a premium get uncapped connections. Cheap uncapped internet is available but only line of 384 / 512KB!!!

Question is as follows: If I have downloaded the client and the BETA version, will this the same downloaded information with only additional patches or will the original have to be completely re-downloaded from the Server?

I'm wanting to buy the online version on pre-order, (just for the extra content) but looking at feasibility. The boxed version vs online version etc.

Don't worry, you won't have to re-download the game. As you say, you'll be able to just patch up to the latest build and play.

Rebecca you should really update your FAQ, because at this moment it still claims that there is a beta going on. Can be quite confusing for new players who smell the alluring scent of juicy FAQ that will solve all of their little newbie problems.

Are you sure that's clear, ghost? The way you worded that makes it sound like you're telling players they can keep their progress from the Beta.

What is this error setup.exe has stopped working in the game. This is really annoying. I found a similar discussion on that and other users have provided some suggestions to deal with the problem on this. I had also mailed my friends about the error and send a screenshot. Does anyone other is also facing the same. I had provided a link of the error below with the discussion topic. Kindly provide more highlight on the same. Thanks.

It seems to me that the third question about multiple installs pretty much summarizes the first two questions. So those first two are rather pointless. Unless there are things about digital rights management that I don't know about (I had to google DRM).

And I thought that the only thing that remains from the beta's are the friend lists (and ignore lists), or social data. I agree with Felluck that that is not really clear in the current wording.

One last thing: shouldn't a thing as an FAQ be located more central, such as below the forum guidelines? It would definitively make it easier to find for new players, who are the main users of FAQ's anyway.
